Interesting day......................

As usual the double class on Tuesday was filled with fun and frivolity - Cheryl decided that she was going to finish her crazy that she started YEARS ago...........

We reminisced about all sorts as we looked at her embroidery..........

Cheryl's work reflects her personality - vibrant and carefree...........

Cheryl has been coming to my classes for about 5 years - and she is the constant source of amusement..........................

She loves a good belly laugh..........

Knobbly kneed spider.....

Cheryl had bought some wine into celebrate the fact that she had finished a project, only to be told my me that it needed some more work. We drank the wine, never the less!

Valerie pushed hard that day to complete her silk embroidered "ZOE" for her grand daughter.

And now for something completely different - Bettye bought in her boxed miniature morgue to show us...........

yes, I did say morgue!

The vicar having a cuppa!

So much fun, honestly who knew that there were people out there making miniature morgues in folding out boxes!!

I mean they are tiny!

Till next month.

Something wonderful..................

Something wonderful happened a few weeks ago. Mark Beard http://crazytexasquilter.blogspot.com.au/ posted her beautiful hexagon quilt inspired by my book onto a Facebook page. Look, to say that my heart sang was an understatement. She also posted the loveliest review on Amazon.

Isn't social media a great venue to share our creative work. I don't think I would have got to see Mary's quilt if it was not for Facebook. A huge thank you to Mary for allowing me to show her quilt and taking the time to write a review.

A while back a redid a few hexagons from my book in a different colour ways - its so interesting to see how colour changes the

Karyn completed her name badge at class last week.

I am so excited to see Cheryl's purse quilt completed - we aim to have some champagne to celebrate!

Deb and I worked on completing a few of her seam treatments - cute little button flowers - so simple but so effective.

Deb's basket needs a few bits added to it.

I taught Gail twisted chain a few weeks back and she was of creating this very effective collar. I went through a few beading options to add around the edge. I will keep you posted.

Till next time.

Crazy hexagons.............

I took this very cute photo of My daughter, Ainslie, and her friend reading my book at the "Can DO Books" stand at the Sydney quilt show.

Lovely Jacoba, from my Saturday class at the Patchwork Angel is having a lot of fun making crazy hexagons from my book.

All though she is duplicating the hexagons directly, her work looks nothing like mine - which is the great thing about crazy.

Its so rewarding to see someone enjoying working from my book..............

....................even though Jacoba has been coming to my classes for about 6 years now.

......................... we are now more friends than "student/teacher".

I don't only get to see crazy quilting at my classes............................ Christine bought in her sampler crochet rug to show Penny.

I LOVE it.

I am back in my sewing room..............

working on some new crazy.
